Scholarships

  • Scholarships: The University grants scholarships to International students as well as to domestic students. They receive a scholarship amount that can range from 380 USD to 30, 400 USD. 
  • Bursaries: These are small amounts of money ranging from 152 USD to 456 USD.
  • Loans: A plethora of loan options are available for domestic and international students to help them with their expenses, thereby enabling them tostudy in Canada with ease and convenience.
  • Line of Credit: Students get access to an agreed-upon amount that can be withdrawn according to their needs and requirements. However, students have to pay interest on the money withdrawn.

Some types of scholarships open to international students at Dalhousie University are:

  • CorpFinance International Limited (Kevin Andrews) Indian Scholarship: This scholarship has a value of 15,000 USD and it is awarded to international undergraduates who are entering the Bachelor of Commerce program and who demonstrate excellent academic standing.Application is done through the General Entrance Award application
  • Richard and Melda Murray Jamaican Engineering Scholarship: This is open to Jamaican international students who are entering a Bachelor of Engineering program and who have strong academic standings and demonstrate financial needs. It has a value of 22,000 CAD to 88,000 CAD and it is renewable for four years •   Application is done through the General Entrance Award application.
  • Entrance awards scholarships: These are open to students who have an 80% admission average or 26 predicted/anticipated IB Diploma points. The specific scholarship amount is not stated but the amount varies and the application is done when applying for admission. 
  • Harmonized Scholarships: These are several scholarships with different amounts, criteria, and eligibility and are mostly FGS-managed scholarships. Submission is done via the Online Scholarship Platform
