Placement
This course has been designed as a 600-hour Co-op placement with a hospitality organization. The Co-op seeks to link the theoretical learning the student acquire in the classroom with the practical issues and circumstances that hospitality businesses must address each and every day in their respective operations. The Co-op is supervised by a VPC instructor which enables the student to experience a wide range of occupations within the hospitality industry thereby honing their administrative as well as their experiential and technical skill sets. The design of the Co-op is discussed by the VPC Supervisor with the employer and student to ensure expectations are understood by all parties involved in the Co-op. A passing grade on the Co-op placement is required for the student to graduate from the ADIHB program.
