Program Description

This course is aimed at ambitious students who want to broaden their career options with our one-year business management top-up course with a specialism in finance. Upon graduation you’ll be well placed to enter banking and finance in a wide range of businesses, government and third sector organisations.You’ll work in our Financial Markets Lab, where you’ll have industry standard access to Bloomberg and Datastream financial software. You’ll also have access to cutting-edge business resources.You'll use London stock exchange data for listed companies in order to form portfolios. You'll calculate its expected return, comparing with the market including the identification of over and under priced companies.

Building your financial skills

You’ll build your skills in a live financial environment. You’ll also have real-time news updates which show the reflection of stock prices and how they are influenced, as well as identifying efficient markets.You’ll use workshops, simulations, role-play and case study analyses to hone your business management skills. As part of group projects, you'll solve financial problems and present solutions as part of a report.
