Teaching on this degree is structured into lectures, where all students are taught together, and seminars of smaller groups of around 15-20 students. As well as classroom-based study, you also spend time on placement in our partner schools. Your placements are organised in relation to your training needs and often with a school partner. This system allows you to work closely with colleagues to support each other with planning and teaching. In school, you will have the support of a dedicated school-based mentor, while at University you will also have a professional placement tutor who will be on hand to support you.In addition to teaching hours you will be expected to spend a number of hours studying independently each week, as well as studying in groups to prepare for any group assessments you may have.
