Program Description
The Master in Finance and Insurance (Laurea Magistrale) offers high-quality education in the areas of finance, insurance and economics with state-of-the-art quantitative methods and applications to the world of business, which makes it unique in Italy.In particular, the programme provides students with in-depth knowledge for the design and management of complex financial and insurance products, for understanding the organization of financial markets, for the definition and management of social security systems and to measure risks relating to individual financial and insurance products.
What You will StudyThis is a full-time 2 year course with a two semester system per academic year. Starting date – End September. How You will be TaughtTeaching methods include lectures, lab activities, group-work and student presentations. All modules provide opportunities for you to acquire and practice applicable skills (e.g. problem solving, case study analysis, group working).
How You will be AssessedAll modules are assessed through a combination of coursework and final assessment held at the end of each Semester with re-sit opportunities shortly thereafter.
Career ProspectsThe career prospects for students of this programme are excellent. Alumni of the Master programme work as analysts and consultants at banks, insurance companies, pension funds, consulting agencies, trading firms and government bodies. Some of them have responsible positions in the private and public sector. Graduates are well equipped to pursue an academic career and are eligible to become fully qualified actuaries.

Entry Requirements
Candidates should hold a three-year Undergraduate Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or equivalent qualification obtained in similar areas. Students that are expected to finish their Undergraduate Degree by the beginning of the Master programme (September) can apply too.
