Program Description

The Interclass Degree Course in “Literary Sciences and Cultural Heritage” aims to provide basic knowledge in sectors aimed at protection, management and use of cultural heritage, especially artistic aspects and libraries, in literary, historical and artistic culture from the ancient to the contemporary age.
The course provides the possibility for students to obtain a degree in Literature (L-10) or in Cultural Heritage (L-1).
The teachings concern the literary, historical, philological, paleographic, librarian, artistic, cinematic and entertainment disciplines, as well as the protection, use and management of cultural heritage.
The set of training activities defines the cultural profile of a graduate able to carry out managerial activities in: conservation, management, promotion, production and enhancement of the artistic, literary heritage, cultural organizations, advertising and publishing, and public and private institutions for study, research, conservation and promotion.
The Degree Course can also be the initial phase of a broader prospective training process, which, in relation to the specific classes L-10 and L-1, may include a Master’s Degree, various types of Master’s programs, access paths to teaching, and a research doctorate.
The course is delivered in Cremona.

Graduates in this course will be professionals able to operate in fields such as conservation, management, promotion, production and enhancement of cultural heritage as well as in cultural organization in general; publicists, consultants and publishers of texts.
Graduates may also continue their preparation via the Master’s Degrees provided for the specific classes, in order to deepen their skills in preparation for their position.
Graduates shall find jobs related to their skills in libraries, including specialist, public and private libraries; archives,both public and private; musea and superintendencies; press offices; publishing houses; cultural institutions; media organizations and media networking; studying, cataloging, conservation, promotion and enhancement of cultural heritage, in particular the book and the artistic heritage; teaching.
