The Master’s Degree in “Filologia moderna” trains graduates with rigorous disciplinary preparation, appropriate methods and high philological and linguistic skills in literary studies from the Romantic to the modern and contemporary age, with close attention to historical and cultural contexts.The attainment of philological, linguistic and historical-critical skills and methods, in addition to developing students’ cultural awareness and ability to interpret texts and contexts, allows students to acquire expressive skills, appropriate disciplinary languages, and a flexible elaboration of today’s cultural phenomena.The teaching methods include advanced specialist teaching, managed both with frontal lessons and in seminar forms. The educational path is also enriched by internship activities that students can carry out in prestigious cultural institutions of the territory.

Possible career opportunities for a Master’s Degree in Filologia moderna:- Continuation in third level studies and possible research training;- Professional activities in the fields of publishing industry, tertiary sector, cultural information and communication, public relations, companies and public and private institutions (with particular regard to cultural centers, research centers, study centers, foundations, libraries, archives, superintendencies, museums).Following specific paths provided for by the current legislation, graduates will be able to teach humanities.
