Program Description

The master's degree course in Philosophy and history of the natural and human sciences includes courses held both in Italian and in English. Its main objective is to train potential researchers in philosophy and history of all sciences, natural and human, in analytic philosophy and hermeneutic philosophy. Another objective is the training of potential secondary school teachers. This course is distinguished from others by the dimension of concreteness given to philosophy, placing it in dialogue with other disciplines and correlating it to the existential, social and ecological problems of human life. Furthermore, the substantial aim is to bring out a methodological and epistemological awareness of all our forms of knowledge, in such a way as to avoid all anthropo-centric and ethno-(Euro-)centric perspectives and all racial discrimination, culture, ethnicity, sex, gender and species.
