  • It is an on-campus, thesis-based program offered on a full-time basis.
  • The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (EECS) offers two graduate programs in Computer Science:
    • The Master of Science (MSc)
    • The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
  • The Master of Science (MSc) emphasizes research preparation and experience and, for most students, is a chance to lay the groundwork for pursuing a PhD.
  • Students may only apply to one single degree program or one concurrent degree program per admission term.
  • A minimum of 24 units is required to complete by the students.
  • This program focus on specialized research, rigorous coursework, and superb faculty mentorship.
  • Students have the opportunity to study and do research with faculty world-renowned for their innovation and discovery.
  • In MSc degree, students can also select the courses such as:
    • Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences
    • Computer Science
    • Electrical Engineering
  • In this program, students have to complete a capstone project.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  • Students must complete a bachelor's degree or the recognized equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Students hold a satisfactory scholastic average, usually a minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B) on a 4.0 scale.
  • Students have enough undergraduate training to do graduate work in their chosen field.
English Language proficiency:
  • All students from countries or political entities in which the official language is not English are required to submit official evidence of English language proficiency.
  • This applies to students from Bangladesh, Burma, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Latin America, the Middle East, the People’s Republic of China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, most European countries, and Quebec (Canada).
