Program Description
Education MA York St John University at is a flexible 2 year, part time course taught through a blended approach of online and face-to-face learning. All of the face-to-face taught sessions are delivered over designated weekends.This offers student the opportunity to study alongside work and other commitments. There is also a fast-track route for those who have a recent PGCE or an older PGCE and national leadership qualification. This means student can gain an MA after 16 months of part time study.Students will explore the links between theory, policy and practice in education, examining these links at a local, national and global level and will gain experience in carrying out independent research and develop transferable skills, including:- The confidence to question established practice

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Entry onto this Master’s Degree requires a minimum of a 2:1 Undergraduate honors degree in a related discipline from a UK or NARIC listed institution.
- If a student’s honours degree does not meet the above requirement but can demonstrate extensive professional experience in the subject then their application will be considered.
- A recent PGCE, gained within the last 5 years
- An older PGCE and a recent national leadership qualification (NPQML, NPQSL, NPQHT) gained within the last 5 years
- International students need to demonstrate experience, or qualifications equivalent to those listed above.
- Required in related discipline
