Program Description

This Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and Royal Society of Biology accredited course is an exploration of human biology and disease. The students will study the biology of disease at a tissue, cellular and molecular level to understand its structure and biological processes. This will give them detailed knowledge of what causes disease and how it affects us. Throughout the student's degree, they will study a variety of pathological diseases. As the students progress, they will explore:
  • Genetics
  • Cellular pathology
  • Clinical biochemistry
  • Clinical immunology
  • Haematology
  • Medical microbiology.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  • 104 UCAS Tariff points
  • 3 at grade C/4 including English Language, Maths, and Double Integrated Science (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 30 points from the International Baccalaureate to include Higher Level Biology at a grade 5
Indian Eligibility:Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet the following eligibility criteria:
  • International students need to demonstrate experience, or qualifications equivalent to those above.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
