Program Description
- The course will equip students with broad knowledge across a wide range of management subject areas and enable you to develop more specialist knowledge as it progresses.
- Students can add a year's work placement, making your master's a two-year course.
- Students will complete a hands-on project, giving them a fantastic opportunity to use the theories and knowledge they have gained to produce a meaningful piece of work.
- Projects include the Consultancy Experience Project, Internship, Business Research Project and Global Experience Project.
- It is a conversion master's and is therefore not restricted to students with a business or management related first degree.
- University’s partnership with the CMI means that on successful completion of this course students will receive the MSc Management and Global Supply Chain Management and the CMI Level 7 Diploma in Management and Leadership.
- This route will both deepen students understanding of strategic operations across a range of sectors and use the supply chain as a basis for integrating their understanding of the other management functions.
- Typically, these routes are made up of students from over 25 different countries, which means students will have a truly international learning experience.
- You will complete a comprehensive development programme, which includes a short residential team-building course, normally held in the Peak District.
- Students can learn from the best by attending guest lectures from leading organisations. Previous speakers have included representatives from companies such as E.ON, Lego, Experian, Santander and IBM.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Bachelor's degree (honours) from a recognized institution or an equivalent degree from the university. or
- Appropriate work experience combined with a relevant qualification.
- If students have a Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) or PgD in Management from the University, gained within the last five years, they will be able to complete the MSc by attending the research methods sessions and completing a dissertation.
- Completed the undergraduate degree(honours) from a recognized institution.
- Students should have appropriate experience in this field.
