Program Description
History at NTU offers exciting opportunities to discover and understand the past through a range of skills and approaches. Our expert staff have strong links to the modern heritage industry and historical research groups, giving you opportunities to work on real life projects and take work placements with some of the most prestigious heritage sites in the country. YouÕll also have the opportunity to study abroad at one of our international exchange partner universities.The course offers a broad and diverse curriculum, covering periods from AD 700 to the present day. A wide range of options places the emphasis on student choice, enabling you to study in-depth specialist areas.
Year One introduces you to key historical skills and practices, alongside introductory modules that focus on medieval, early modern and modern history.
In Year Two you all chose from a number of optional modules that have been designed to deepen your understanding and promote core research skills to help you develop your own academic interests. There are also opportunities to study abroad or do a work placement.
Year Three offers a range of specialist options. You all complete a dissertation on a specialist research topic of your choice under the guidance of expert supervision.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students require 12 years of school education and successful completion of a school leaving certificate equivalent to UK 'A' Levels.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma is required.
- GCSE: Grade 4/C in English and Mathematics
- Completed their high school education from recognized institution.
- Or, completed a Diploma in relevant field.
