Program Description
- Diploma in Business - Accounting at Georgian College is offered as 2 years (4 semesters) program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and a part-time basis.
- The program provides a foundation in all of the functional business areas and comprehensive education in specific accounting practices and theory.
- Through a strong focus on application, students develop the skills needed for success in the business world, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
- The program also offers a part-time delivery format which is completed by the students according to their schedule.
- For part-time courses, students are registered on a course-by-course basis and many courses in this program have an equivalent online option.
- Students can finish the part-time program in 4 years by taking two courses per semester.
- In this program, students have to successfully complete 18 program courses, 2 communications courses, 1 program option course, and 3 general education courses.
- The instructors or faculties excel at finding interesting and meaningful ways to explain even the most complex accounting principles to make to study easier.
- Students can pursue the Ontario Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) upon completion of a university degree recognised by CPA.
- After completion of the program, students get hired in small businesses, financial institutions, government offices, non-profit organisations, manufacturing firms, and more.

Academic Eligibility:
- Students have to complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with
- Grade 12 English (C or U)
- any Grade 111 (Minimum of 60% in Grade 11 College or University level Mathematics (MBF3C or MCF3M)) or 12 Mathematics (C, M, or U)
- Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home school students may also be considered for admission.
- Students who have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing also get admission to this program.
