Program Description

Prepare for a future in academic or applied settings as they ask and seek answers to meaningful questions in three distinct areas of psychological study: health psychology, developmental psychology, and cognition/perception/neuroscience.Guided by faculty members with expertise in both quantitative and qualitative methods, they will learn how to choose and apply the techniques best suited to inform their research.MSc Psychology is a 2-year full-time postgraduate course which is divided into 4 semesters.Students can choose any of the careers in accordance with their skills and interests. Some of the topmost career choices in terms of higher studies after completion of the MSc Psychology program are provided below:
  • MPhil in Psychology: M.Phil. in Psychology is a 2 years full-time graduate course that is divided into 4 semesters. This course helps students to understand the mind and behavior of individuals and boasts the knowledge gained in MSc Psychology. This degree further helps to make a good career in the fields of academics.
  • Ph.D. in Psychology: After pursuing an MSc Psychology course, it is advisable that students should pursue Ph.D. in a Psychology course. It is always recommended to go for further studies after pursuing this program as otherwise, it won’t be that beneficial.

Academic Eligibility:
  • B.A. or B.Sc. honors degree (a four-year undergraduate bachelor's degree) in one of the traditional disciplines: Anthropology, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computing & Information Systems, Economics, Geography, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics & Astronomy, Philosophy, or Psychology
  • Minimum B+ (77%) or equivalent in the work of the last four semesters or the last two undergraduate years (last ten full credits)
  • Students must have a GPA of 2.67 on a 4.0 scale.
Indian Student Eligibility:Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
  • Students must complete a 4-year undergraduate degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test to get admission to this program.
