Program Description
- The aim of the program is to develop an in-depth understanding of computer hardware, microprocessors, microelectronics, digital systems, and software design
- The program consists of a minimum of 20 full-credit courses (or equivalent)
- Graduates of the program succeed in the traditional computer environment, in the hardware software co-design arena, and in the embedded system venue
- More than 90% of Laurier’s Computing and Computer Electronics graduates immediately enter the workforce while the remainder go to graduate studies in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering

Academic eligibility:Applicants must have
- Education equivalent to a four-year Canadian undergraduate degree in any discipline from an accredited university with a minimum B average (73%) in the last 10 half-credit courses completed.
- Applicants must have passed high school with 60-75%: First Class
- Prerequisites: English at 60%, Advanced Functions at 60% and one of the following: Calculus and Vectors, Chemistry or Physics at 60%
