Program Description

  • University of New Brunswick (Fredericton) offers a Bachelor of Science in Economics for a duration of 4 years (8 terms).
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • BSc in Economics is a UG degree with an emphasis on mathematical and quantitative courses.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  • Students have to complete the following course requirements:
    • Senior English Literature
    • Senior Math, including Pre-Calculus
    • 1 other academic math
    • Senior Chemistry and Senior Physics
    • 2 electives from group 1 or 2
  • The minimum admission average of the students for the program is 75% (Science average must be 75%, based on Pre-Calculus Math and best of senior Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).

Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
  • Intermediate Examination Certificate
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate
  • All India Senior School Certificate grades of 60% or higher
  • General Certificate of Education (GCE).
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
