Program Description

  • The BEng in Process Engineering at the Memorial University of Newfoundland is a 5-year program.
  • This program is offered on a full-time basis. 
  • Process Engineering is the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science's newest discipline, designed to satisfy the needs of various processing industries, including oil and gas, and mineral processing.
  • Students will have the opportunity to apply to the Co-operative Education Program.
  • Some of the main topics students learn through this program are:
    • Introduction to Process Engineering
    • Process Engineering Thermodynamics
    • Sustainable Engineering in Processing Industries
  • This is a diversified program, which encompasses new development, design, safety and environment, optimization, and operation of sustainable processes for human needs.
  • Students will also learn in state-of-the-art laboratories and participate in unique research projects that are changing the future of engineering.
  • The co-op option gives students opportunities to work in a range of industries from oil production to cheese processing.

    Academic Eligibility: 
    • Students must have proof of their senior secondary school transcripts with a minimum B average.
    • Subjects required: English, Mathematics, Laboratory Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) and Social Studies or Modern/Classical Language.
    • Students required a minimum overall grade of 70% in the required subject areas.
    Indian Student Eligibility:
    • Students must have one of the following:
      • Higher Secondary Certificate
      • Indian School Certificate
      • Intermediate Examination Certificate
      • All India or Delhi Senior School Certificate
      • Pre-University Certificate or Higher Secondary School Certificate

      Language Requirements:
