Program Description
- Carleton University offers a Master of Accounting full-time program in 1-year.
- Sprott's Master of Accounting (MAcc) is a program that gives a gateway to a career as a professional accountant.
- The Sprott MAcc prepares students to work in a variety of professional roles.
- Students will be expected to prepare an internship report that relates their work experience to the course work they have completed in the MAcc program.
- Students graduating from the MAcc will be exempt from the CPA Canada Professional Education Program (PEP) and will proceed directly to the CPA Canada Common Final Examination, which is one of the final steps in becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant.
- The accounting faculty within the Sprott School of Business are experts on the competencies required by the accounting profession.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a 4-year bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized institution.
- The related fields include a UG degree in Marketing, Finance, Arts, Science, Government, Retail, Manufacturing.
- GPA of at least 3.0/4.33 (B grade) which is the equivalent of 8.0/12 on Carleton’s scale is required to be eligible for the program.
- Completed both a Bachelor’s (3 years) degree and a Master’s degree.
- Or, completed a Bachelor’s degree requiring 4 years of study (e.g., B.Pharm., M.B.B.S, or B.Arch).
- Or, obtain a first-class division (75% or above, Distinction or Outstanding).
- Or, complete 3-year UG from an institution accredited by either AACSB, EQUIS, or AMBA.

- Preference Form: It allows students to outline their preferences for the program specialization or research area.
- MBA complement form: Students have to fill the Complement form and upload a PDF copy in Carleton Central.
- ELP Scores: Students have to submit their English language proficiency scores like IELTS, TOEFL, or other test scores.
