Program Description
- Master of Applied Science in Computer Engineering at York University is offered as a 2-year teaching program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time (6 terms) and part-time basis.
- The Graduate Program in Civil Engineering offers thesis-based MASc and Ph.D. degrees with areas of specialization in one or more of the following sub-disciplines:
- Structural Engineering
- Geotechnical Engineering
- GeoEnvironmental Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Water Resources Engineering
- Transportation Engineering.
- The cutting-edge research is being carried out in state-of-the-art facilities, which are located in the new Bergeron Centre for Engineering Excellence.
- Students are required to register in the Master’s thesis course for every term during their study period.
- The graduate students also have the facility to access to a Computational Modelling Lab.
- Students have to complete a minimum of 3 core courses for the sub-discipline,1 technical elective, and 1 open elective course.
- All students are also required to take a non-credit course on engineering ethics offered by the Lassonde School of Engineering.
- Students are required to register in the Graduate Seminar Series course for every term during their study period. Each student must attend a minimum of 10 graduate seminars and give at least 1 graduate seminar based on the student’s research project.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from a recognized institution.
- The related fields include a UG degree in computer engineering, engineering science, computational mathematics, applied computing, applied mathematics, computer information systems.
- A GPA of at least 3.33 (B+ grade) out of 4.33 is required to be eligible for the program.
- Students do not require any kind of work experience for this particular program.
- If students have any work experience then the chances of accepting the applications are more.
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree with a first-class from an accredited institution.
