Program Description
- Master of Management at York University is offered as a 1-year (3 academic terms) teaching program.
- It is an on-course program offered on a full-time basis.
- This program is comprised of 36.00 credits of core courses and 9.00 credits of elective courses selected by the program committee each year.
- The 12-month full-time Master of Management (MMgt) is designed to equip graduates from non-business programs with the tools they need for managing and problem-solving in a variety of organizations and environments.
- The curriculum is highly experiential, culminating with an Enterprise Consulting Project in which students will collaboratively develop recommendations for a client organization.
- Students will graduate from the MMgt program with:
- an ability to evaluate and solve management issues while taking into account risk, uncertainty, and ambiguity
- the skills needed to work effectively in groups and teams and to communicate effectively to a range of audiences
- an understanding of the obligation to act in a socially and ethically responsible manner.
- Master of Management graduates will be eligible for significant advanced standing into the Schulich MBA, after acquiring the requisite work experience to be eligible for the MBA.
- Students will learn to manage complexity, change, and ambiguity as they examine management issues in a global context.
- The MMgt program is preceded by a mandatory pre-start program including the satisfactory completion of online course modules in Accounting Foundations, Economics Foundations, Math Foundations, and Finance Foundations.
- Throughout the Schulich Master of Management, students will be challenged by the award-winning faculty, who are experts in a broad range of functional and program areas as well as successful industry practitioners.
- It will equip students with the knowledge and leadership skills they need to gain a competitive advantage.
- Throughout the MMgt program, students will also have access to the Career Development Centre (CDC).
- The MMgt program could lead students to an exciting career in an organization such as:

- Amazon, etc and the average salary goes up to 69,000 USD.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Students must complete an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, in a non-business field of study.
- Students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (B+ grade) out of 4.33 in the last two full years (or equivalent) of academic work.
- Applicants with 3-year degrees may be considered for admission with one year of work experience.
- Work Experience is not required. Students may not have more than two years of full-time work experience.
Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
- Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- Or, completed a 3-year UG degree with a first-class from a NAAC-accredited institution.
