  • York University’s Master of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering is offered as a 2-year teaching program.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  • Students required a bachelor’s degree of 120 credits (with or without honors) in Mechanical Engineering or in similar fields.
  • Similar fields include a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace engineering, Automotive engineering, Civil engineering, Control and instrumentation engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Nuclear engineering.
  • The minimum grade point ‘B’ (70% – 74%) is required to enroll in this program.
Work Experience Eligibility:
  • Students do not require any kind of work experience for this particular program.
  • If students have any work experience then the chances of accepting the applications are more.
Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
  • Or, completed a master degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution
  • Or, completed a 3-year UG degree with a first-class from a NAAC-accredited institution 
Submission of GRE scores is not compulsory for this program, however, it is recommended to submit a minimum GRE-309 for better a chance of admission. Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
