Program Description

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at York University is offered as a 4years teaching program.

  • In a capstone project, students work with a team to design, test, and deploy a significant and exciting product using all the knowledge and skills that have gained.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  •  Students must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) degree.
  •  Students must have to complete the following course such as:
    • English (ENG4U)
    • Chemistry (SCH4U)
    • Physics (SPH4U)
    • Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
    • Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U)
    • And one additional 4U or M courses
    • No prerequisite below 70%
  • To gain admission to this program, the student’s academic average should be in the low-to-mid 80s.
Indian Student Eligibility:

Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
  • All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
  • Indian School Certificate (ISC)
  • Intermediate Examination Certificate
  • Pre-University Examination Certificate
  • Students also have to complete the Grade XII math course.
Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
