- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at York University is offered as 3 years teaching program.

- Environmental Science is the application of a combination of scientific disciplines to issues and questions regarding environmental problems.
- This program is consists of two types of streams :
- Life Sciences stream
- Physical Sciences stream
- The Life Sciences stream involves the incorporation of physical geography with ecology and population biology focusing on environmental problems that affect water, air, aquatic sediments, soils as well as plants and animals.
- The Physical Sciences stream integrates atmospheric science with surface water hydrology and landforms.
- In the 1st year of the program students study the couses are:
- Biology
- Physical Geography
- Chemistry
- Calculus
- Computer Use
- General Education course
- The program at York includes compulsory research design and field study course that gets students out using the equipment of the profession.
- Environmental Science focuses on the major interacting systems of the atmosphere, biosphere, water, and landforms, as well as on the effect of human activity on these systems.

Academic Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
- Students must complete an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) degree.
- Students must have to complete the following course such as:
- English (ENG4U)
- Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
- Biology (SBI4U)
- Chemistry (SCH4U)
- And two additional 4U or M courses - recommendation(s) below:
- SPH4U
- To gain admission to this program, students’ academic average should be in the high 70s to mid-80s.
Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
- All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
- Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
- Indian School Certificate (ISC)
- Intermediate Examination Certificate
- Pre-University Examination Certificate
- Students also have to complete the Grade XII math course.
