Program Description
- Bachelor of Business and Society at York University is offered as a 3-4 year teaching program.
- It is an on-campus, honors course offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.
- In this program, students gain an in-depth understanding of the impact of business on society and the relations between business, social structures, and government crucial factors in understanding the social environment of business.
- Students also gain the opportunity to choose from a dynamic array of courses that explore the political, social, and cultural context of business, both in Canada and around the world, including:
- economics
- political science
- law and governance
- communications
- business ethics
- If students would like to further specialize in their studies, they may wish to pursue a certificate while working on their degree.
- Certificate programs offer an additional background in areas such as management, finance, marketing, and organizational behavior.
- Because of the flexibility of the program, students will be prepared to work in public service, corporate business, community and international development, teaching, marketing, human resources, public relations, finance, and labor relations.
- Honors students will have the opportunity to participate in a paid internship of four, eight, 12, or 16 months as well as a practicum course in a social economy organization during their 4th year.
- Learning skills workshops, outstanding libraries, academic accommodations, and transition programs are designed to help students at every step of the way.

Academic Eligibility:
Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
- Students must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) degree.
- Students must have to complete the following course such as:
- English (ENG4U)
- Five additional 4U or M courses
- 4U math
- To gain admission to this program, your academic average should be in the mid-70s.
Indian students are eligible to apply if they have any one of the following certificates:
- All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSCE)
- Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)
- Indian School Certificate (ISC)
- Intermediate Examination Certificate
- Pre-University Examination Certificate
- Students also have to complete the Grade XII math course.
