Program Description
- MA in Theatre at the University of Victoria is offered as a 2-years program by the Department of Theatre.

- Graduate studies at the Department of Theatre will immerse students in a dynamic academic and research environment, with the support and guidance you need to take your passion to the next level.
- Students will receive hands-on experience in all areas of theatre, taught by leading scholars and theatre professionals in one of the most innovative teaching facilities in North America.
- With graduate programs in directing, design/production, theatre history and applied theatre, they offer graduate students the opportunity to work alongside a diverse group of students in small classes and receive close mentorship from internationally renowned artists, scholars, directors, and designers.
- The MA program consists of a minimum of 15 units.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an undergraduate degree in theatre or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A grade point average of 6.0/9.0 (B+ average) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to the bachelor’s degree.
- Students must complete a Bachelor’s (4 years) degree in theatre or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.
