Program Description
- M.Mus in Music Technology at the University of Victoria is offered as a 2-years program by the School of Music.
- The University of Victoria also ranked 2nd in Maclean’s top Canadian Comprehensive Universities 2019.
- The UVic School of Music offers a unique, two-year experience to prepare you for a variety of musical professions, from performance and music technology to research scholarship and arts administration.
- This program gives students integrative training in music technology.
- This program combines composition, performance, and computer technology.
- It is directed at students who come from diverse musical backgrounds, who will be at the forefront of the creation and creative use of music technology in the 21st century.
- Students' research is supported by close mentorship by the program's faculty, the School's three digital music studios, and the Fine Arts Studio for Integrated Media (SIM).
- The M.Mus program consists of a minimum of 39 units.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have a B.Mus or BA in music or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A grade point average of 6.0/9.0 (B+) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to the bachelor’s degree.
- Students must complete a B.Mus or BA in music or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.
