Program Description
- MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of Victoria is offered as a 2-years program by the Department of Psychology.
- The University of Victoria also ranked 2nd in Maclean’s top Canadian Comprehensive Universities 2019.
- This program prepares graduate students for clinical practice, academic, and/or research careers.
- All of the students receive core training in the social, developmental, biological, and cognitive bases of human behavior, psychological assessment, diagnosis, intervention and prevention, psychopathology, ethics, and professional issues, cultural diversity, social justice, research methods, and evaluation, supervision, and consultation.
- Students combine their training in core areas of Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in (1) lifespan psychology or (2) neuropsychology.
- The MSc program consists of a minimum of 27 units.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must have an undergraduate degree in psychology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- A grade point average of 6.0/9.0 (B+ average) in the work of the last two years (30 units) leading to the bachelor’s degree.
- Students must complete a Bachelor’s (4 years) degree in psychology or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
- The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.
