Program Description

  • Masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Victoria is offered as a 1.5 years program.
  • The Master’s of Engineering (MEng) program best serves students who wish to enhance their knowledge of electrical and computer engineering beyond the undergraduate level but prefer not to undertake thesis-based research.
  • The MEng program is intended to prepare students for advanced professional activity in various industrial settings.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  • Students must have an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • The minimum requirement for admission to the MEng is B average (5.0/9.0 GPA) or 73-76% range in the last two years (30 units) of academic study.
Indian Student Eligibility:
  • Students must complete a Bachelor’s (4 years) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Or, students completed a master's degree with first-class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • The minimum grade score for a degree should be 7/10 (60%), first class.
