The Master Programme in is characterised by innovative thinking and progress where the teaching reflects the cutting edge research carried out at the Department of Business Studies at . This is a two-year programme with the opportunity to finish your studies after the first year.Marketing plays a central role in creating, capturing, communicating and sustaining value for organisations and private individuals. By understanding customer needs, companies can provide customers with innovative solutions. Should you choose Marketing as your specialisation you will learn, amongst other things, how customers use information and make active choices, how companies interact with each other on strategies for the development of new products, as well as how different choices affect customer relations and other marketing efforts. The specialisation aims to educate analytically skilled employees with a special ability to face challenges in consumer markets, industrial markets and to provide a service perspective on marketing.
  • First year
During the first year you will take courses that are common for all participants, as well as courses that are specific to the specialisation in Marketing.
  • Second year
During the third semester, you have the opportunity to undertake an internship at a commercial company or an organisation. If you choose to take elective courses instead, there is the opportunity of a single term international exchange to study at one of our partner universities around the world. You also have the option to choose elective courses at Uppsala University. In the fourth and last semester, you will write a 30 credit Master's thesis where you will go more in-depth within a particular area of the specialisation in Marketing.
