Core courses in project management and organisation, management systems and sustainability, production planning and control, and quality management will help put your engineering skills in an industrial management context. After the first term, you will follow one of two profiles: Operations Management or Environmental Innovation Management.The Operations Management profile deals with operations management issues in the manufacturing and service industries, providing approaches for creating and sustaining effective organisations. A central idea is how to improve processes to provide maximum consumer benefits through the best use of available resources.?You will gain insight into technological trends and explore financial and engineering consequences of operational decisions. Quality is another important module, which introduces the concepts of lean production and the Six Sigma methodology. For the closing project course (12 ECTS), you will apply your knowledge by solving real-life production management problems.The Environmental Innovation Management profile focuses on the development and commercialisation of resource-efficient products and sustainable solutions, looking at innovation in major corporations as well as entrepreneurial start-ups. In the final Innovation and Entrepreneurship project course (12 ECTS), you will learn how to tackle challenges associated with innovative activities.
