Program Description
- Honors consists of planning and conducting a research project leading to a thesis. Students who have an interest in research may undertake Graduate Honors either full or part-time following graduation. An Honors degree in Pharmacy enhances career opportunities and is the usual prerequisite for further study for a research higher degree (Master of Pharmacy or Doctor of Philosophy). Research Higher Degrees are generally expected for positions in the pharmaceutical industry, academia or government regulatory agencies.
- Graduate Honors consists of planning and conducting a research project under the supervision of academic staff at the Division of Pharmacy, School of Medicine. Students identify a suitable project and conduct a review of the scientific literature to provide a rationale for their project, develop a research plan with their supervisors, conduct the project and prepare a research thesis.
