Program Description
- The University of Alberta offers a Master of Business Administration for 20-months, including an internship.
- It is an on-campus, thesis-based program, offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.
- This degree provides theoretical and practical training for business or investment management.
- Year one begins with orientation at the end of August. In 1st year students will complete core MBA courses that provide students with a strong understanding of management essentials.
- This program gives a wide range of knowledge to the following topics:

- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Public Policy and Management

- Students have complete a curriculum that provides integrated grounding in management essentials and round-off their degree with elective courses.
- The U Alberta MBA equips students with the knowledge needed to function well in a corporate or entrepreneurial environment.
- With a required course in Career Management Skills, one-on-one coaching and career planning with the MBA Career Management Centre, and the opportunity to pursue a summer internship, students are well placed for success with the U Alberta MBA.
- After completing a summer internship, year two begins. Year two allows students to focus their studies on specific areas of interest or complete a specialization.
- As part of the program, students need to take an MBA capstone project which will allow them to work with an outside organization on a strategic issue they are facing.
- The student-faculty ratio for the MBA program is 9:1.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:- Students must have completed four years of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business from a recognized university.
- A GPA of 3.0/4.0 [B Grade] over their last two years or 60-credits of study is required to get admission in this program.
- Students must hold an English Language Proficiency for Non-native English speakers.
- Students have at least two years of full-time work experience after completion of an undergraduate degree.
- Alberta MBA students possess an average of five years of work experience.
- Students need to include in resume sufficient details of their professional work experience for each term of employment, and a brief description of employment duties.
- Education, volunteer experience(s), accomplishments achieved at work, and any extracurricular activities should also be highlighted.
