Program Description
The Mountain Adventure Skills Training program (MAST) philosophy is based on providing students with a broad range of skills training following a step-by-step progression of learning. The program consists of three sections: 1.) Theoretical Applications (MSTA) Courses that pertain to tourism, computers, the organizational and environmental aspects of tourism. Research, communication, and critical thinking skills are emphasized. 2.) Safety and Emergency Response Skills (SERS).

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Following are the academic requirements needed to attend the program:
- The student must be 19 years or older as of September 4.
- Minimum 'C' in Principles or Applications of Math 11 or Math 080 or Math 082
- Minimum 'C' in English 12 or English 090 or 091 or EFP 12, or TPC 12
- Basic computer skills are also recommended.
