Program Description
The Social Work program within the School of Human and Social Development at Nipissing is grounded on the principles of social justice and we place an emphasis on the historical and contemporary position of Aboriginal peoples in Canada, as well as rural and Northern contexts. The program is characterized by its approach to the study of social justice, which examines systems of oppression, domination and discrimination between diverse and intersecting topic areas of, among others, ability, ethnicity, age.
