  • This is a research-focused course that uses an interactive approach to learning through seminars, workshops, small group tutorials, and research placements rather than a traditional lecture-based format.
  • In this course, students will undertake two research projects, as well as units covering science communication and experimental design and statistics.
  • Also, attend tutorials where students will learn about biosciences research at Manchester and a workshop on bioethics.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  • Applicants have a good Upper Second Class Honours degree in biological sciences, medical sciences discipline.
  • They may also consider exceptional applicants with a Lower Second who also have research experience or equivalent.
Indian Student Eligibility: Indian students are eligible to apply if they meet one of the following eligibility criteria:
  • Completed a 4-year UG degree with first class in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Or, completed a B.Sc (General) degree from a recognized institution.
