Program Description

Conestoga’s Bookkeeping program provides students with a holistic set of skills and knowledge in just one-year, offering fundamental skills in financial accounting, personal income tax, and payroll. The program also works to develop critical interpersonal, and collaborative skills that that will help students build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other contacts within the industry.
Taught by committed faculty with extensive industry experience, this one-year Ontario College certificate provides students with the opportunity to work with industry standard software, as well as emerging applications used in the field. By enrolling in this program, students will be aligned to Canada’s largest and fastest-growing certifying body of bookkeepers. Students who begin this program in fall 2021 and later will have the opportunity to fast track towards the nationally recognized Certified Professional Bookkeeper (CPB) designation. Students will also have access to a preferred student membership rate, full of member benefits that will provide access to continuing education and networking opportunities with bookkeeping professionals across Canada.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will also have the opportunity to enter year 2 of Conestoga’s Payroll and Bookkeeping diploma program, with the addition of just two payroll courses.
