Program Description
To effectively contribute as a leader in today's manufacturing sector, it is important for students to have an understanding of project direction, manufacturing design software, communication, human resources, and safety practices.
The Applied Manufacturing Management program will bolster students' leadership skills aimed for the manufacturing sector. This Ontario College Graduate Certificate will help students launch their leadership career within a Canadian manufacturing environment. In this program, students will apply project lifecycle techniques and develop the ability to utilize and integrate complex manufacturing design software. Team management skills will be refined to aid in meeting Canadian industry goals.
Through theoretical and practical courses, students will be exposed to real life situations that arise in the workplace. Students will work individually and in groups using current software to simulate the management of manufacturing initiatives while incorporating quality assurance and process and project management techniques. They will focus on meeting challenges in a production environment from both operational and strategic perspectives in this management-tailored program.
Other Requirements
- Bachelors degree or Advance Diploma from an accredited college or university with minimum 50% in mechanical engineering or a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering) OR A three-year advanced diploma or a degree in another discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanical engineering-related work.
- In case the program has three semesters in a year, annual tuition fee may increase for one additional semester.
