Students will learn electrical theory, code regulations and blueprint reading throughout the program. Extensive shop time will include a progression through residential, commercial and industrial wiring methods. In addition, students will develop an understanding of control strategies and technology in motors, programmable logic controllers (PLC) and automation shops.Levels 1 and 2 of the trade schooling for an Ontario electrical apprenticeship are embedded in the program and this will provide students with a recognized advantage when starting their career.Conestoga has one of the largest electrical training facilities in the province.
