Program Description

Students can start building their foundation with Conestoga’s one-year Construction Techniques certificate program. With a focus on safety, students will learn key concepts, and develop hands-on skills at Conestoga’s dedicated Skilled Trades Campus. This unique program consists of seven-week blocks for four different trades: carpentry, electrical, heating ventilation and air conditioning, and welding. The faculty are all experienced tradespeople and want to show students why they should consider a career in their trade. This program will give students the opportunity to strengthen their math and employment skills, so they can learn what they love and be ready to pursue a rewarding career, or chose to learn more in other trade-related programs.
