Program Description

  • St. Lawrence College offers a Diploma in Visual and Creative Arts - Fine Arts for a duration of 2 years.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This program provides students with the flexibility to explore the areas of visual arts and combines a balance of theory, studio, and application skills that prepares graduates for a variety of Fine Arts related employment opportunities.
  • Courses may be offered in the classroom or lab, entirely online, or in a hybrid mode which combines classroom sessions with online learning activities.
  • Program delivery can be run weekdays, weekends or evenings.
  • Graduates of the Visual and Creative Arts – Fine Arts program can turn their diploma into a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts Degree in just 1-year (2 academic semesters) in Ireland at the Institute of Technology Sligo.
  • Applicants with post-secondary credits may be eligible for direct entry to an upper level of the program (semester or year) depending on transfer credits.
  • St. Lawrence College offers an extensive Student Scholarship and Bursary Program. Scholarships and bursaries for this purpose are sponsored by external organizations and private individuals.
  • Qualified students may be eligible for special financial support available to the Fine Arts program.
  • Graduates of the Visual and Creative Arts - Fine Arts program may find full-time and part-time employment as self-employed fine artists or may find work in galleries, commercial art studios, retail outlets, and educational institutions.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:
  • Students have to complete Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with the majority of Grade 11 and 12 courses at the C, U, or M level including the following prerequisites:
    • Grade 12 English at the C or U level
    • Grade 11 Math.
Indian Student Eligibility:
  • The students must have completed 10th and intermediate i.e 12th grade which has the minimum with 60% marks.
  • The minimum qualification required to attend this program is a higher secondary school certificate.
  • Copies of original documents should be attested by the educational institution.
  • School Record of Diploma/Degree certificate Mark sheets for each year of study is required.
