Program Description
The Client Service Specialist Certificate is a distinctive program Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology has developed in partnership with the Manitoba Tourism Education Council (MTEC). Although students will receive the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology credential upon successful completion, the nine months of occupational specific, career development and technical courses are delivered by MTEC in a classroom located in MTEC’s facility (Unit 3 -75 Scurfield Blvd). At the end of the program, MTEC will connect students with their numerous employer contacts for a one-month, unpaid work practicum.
Upon graduation, students will receive a Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology certificate and will be equipped with the transferable skills required for front-line employment in multiple industry-sectors. Students will also have the opportunity to receive the following industry recognized certificates in various courses and workshops throughout the Client Service Specialist Certificate program:
- Microsoft Office Specialist Certificate
- Emergency First Aid Level C and Level 1 AED
- Winnipeg Ambassador
- Handling Difficult Situations
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials and Information Systems)
