Program Description

Kinesiology is the study of human movement and its impact on health, wellness, and athletic performance.Using a multi-disciplinary approach, students actively engage in theoretical, experiential, and hands-on learning opportunities that help develop a strong foundation for a variety of career options or further studies.  Kinesiology graduates can be found working as coaches, exercise physiologists, athletic therapists, fitness specialists, consultants, researchers, adaptive physical activity specialists, athletic directors, recreation coordinators, and registered kinesiologists. You can also use a Kinesiology degree to pursue other professional degrees such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or medicine.You can complete up to two years of credit courses at Medicine Hat College before transferring to complete your degree at a university.
