Program Description

The Applied Science Engineering certificate prepares students to transfer into an engineering degree program under BC's common engineering curriculum.As an engineer, you’ll be a creative problem-solver, applying your skills to make significant contributions.The first year of your engineering education provides a broad foundation in math and science, and provides exposure to various engineering specializations you might choose to pursue. The Engineering (Applied Science) Certificate recognizes successful completion of the first year of Engineering, and is transferable to second year Engineering at several BC universities based on the Common First-Year Engineering Curriculum (CFYEC) agreement.

Transferability

CNC Engineering (Applied Science) Certificate graduates are eligible for second-year admission into several universities in BC. Students within the CFYEC transfer program should be aware that they must follow all application procedures and policies of the receiving institution. Note that admission to these institutions may require course substitutions and other specific entry requirements. Admission may also depend on program availability and GPA cut-offs that are subject to change from one year to the next.   The following institutions have transfer agreements for this program:
