Program Description
As a Sport Management graduate, you have the skills and knowledge for a successful career in the dynamic sports industry.
- Minor and professional sports play an increasing role in the social, physical and economic health of our economy.
- High demand for qualified individuals to support development and growth.
- Program combines fundamental business skills with advanced sport industry knowledge and applications.
- Over 400 hours of sport management practicum experience locally or internationally.
- Opportunities for hands-on experiential learning with leading industry sport organizations including the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, CBC Sports Television and the Canadian Olympic Committee.
Other Requirements
- Grade 12 with 50% and above. Math required.
- Niagara College does not accept students from Open schooling and Distance Education System. Education Gap:Student completed most recent studies within 5 years from start of the program (Example: if the program begins in 2018, applicants must have completed their last program of study no earlier than 2013 Student does not have more than 9 backlogs in university study. State Secondary School Board All required courses = 55% required & 10 + 2 English = 65% required. State Technical Education Board All required courses = 65% required, 10 + 2 English = 70% requied.
