Program Description
As a graduate of the Office Administration – Health Services program you support patient relations and effectively handle medical office practices in community health-care and hospital settings.
- Gain practical experience using a simulated clinical management system for patient scheduling, electronic health records, and OHIP billing.
- Learn to accurately transcribe medical correspondence and reports, including a comprehensive study of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Practicum experience provides hands-on, experiential learning in the field.
Other Requirements
- Grade 12 with 50% and above. Recommended Courses : Biology – Grade 11 or Grade 12
- Niagara College does not accept students from Open schooling and Distance Education System. Education Gap:Student completed most recent studies within 5 years from start of the program (Example: if the program begins in 2018, applicants must have completed their last program of study no earlier than 2013 Student does not have more than 9 backlogs in university study. Recommended: Grade 11th Mathematics required. State Secondary School Board All required courses = 55% required & 10 + 2 English = 65% required. State Technical Education Board All required courses = 65% required, 10 + 2 English = 70% requied.
