Program Description

As a Human Resources (HR) Professional in the private, public or not-for-profit sector, you support, plan and execute your organization’s HR initiatives from a strategic and tactical perspective.
  • Build a comprehensive, professional portfolio through the HR@NC student association.
  • Engage with industry leaders via guest speakers, alumni, industry events and associations including the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) and the Human Resources Professional Association of Niagara (HRPAN).
  • Engage in course-based applied research.
  • International opportunities to work/study abroad.
  • Courses prepare you for the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) and/or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designations.
  • This program grants advanced standing to qualified graduates of the Niagara College — Business Administration - Human Resources (Co-op) program. Students receive a 3 year advanced diploma and 4 year degree in under 5 years! Visit the Pathways tab for details.

Other Requirements

  • Grade 12 with 55% and above. Math & English required with minimum 60%.
  • Niagara College does not accept students from Open schooling and Distance Education System. Education Gap:Student completed most recent studies within 5 years from start of the program (Example: if the program begins in 2018, applicants must have completed their last program of study no earlier than 2013 Student does not have more than 9 backlogs in university study. Recommended: Mathematics. National Secondary School Board Overall average = 55% required 10 + 2 English =55% 10 + 2 Mathematics or Accounting = 50% State Secondary School Board Overall average = 65% required. 10 + 2 English = 65% required, 10 + 2 Mathematics or Accounting = 55% required, State Technical Education Board Overall average = 75% required, 10 + 2 English = 75% 10 + 2 Mathematics or Accounting = 65%.
