Program Description
As an Electronics Engineering Technician graduate, you solve complex technical problems with a high degree of accuracy and speed to improve organizational efficiency.
- Modern equipment and spacious lab facilities provide an optimal, experiential learning experience.
- Students are eligible to complete the Amateur Radio Operators & Technician-Level Certification.
- Graduates with relevant experience can apply for the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians & Technologists (OACETT) certification.
- Program is approved by the Canadian Navy Subsidized College Education Program. Students may enter the following occupations: Naval Electronics Technician – Communications, Naval Electronics Technician – Radar, Naval Electronics Technician – Sonar, Naval Weapons Technician.
Other Requirements
- Grade 12 with 50% and above. Math required. Recommended Courses : Physics – Grade 11 or Grade 12
- Niagara College does not accept students from Open schooling and Distance Education System. Education Gap:Student completed most recent studies within 5 years from start of the program (Example: if the program begins in 2018, applicants must have completed their last program of study no earlier than 2013 Student does not have more than 9 backlogs in university study. State Secondary School Board All required courses = 55% required & 10 + 2 English = 65% required. State Technical Education Board All required courses = 65% required, 10 + 2 English = 70% requied.
