Program Description
As an Electrical Engineering Technology program graduate, you are able to respond to the growing need for faster, smarter and more energy efficient power electronic systems across many industries.
- Program focuses on power electronic systems and industrial automation in areas of electrical power generation, power distribution, protection and control, energy conservation, utility planning, and renewable energy systems.
- Extensive hands-on industry experience via three co-op work terms.
- Graduates with relevant experience can apply for the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT) certification.
Other Requirements
- Grade 12 with 50% and above. Math required. Recommended Courses : Physics – Grade 11 or Grade 12
- Niagara College does not accept students from Open schooling and Distance Education System. Education Gap:Student completed most recent studies within 5 years from start of the program (Example: if the program begins in 2018, applicants must have completed their last program of study no earlier than 2013 Student does not have more than 9 backlogs in university study. State Secondary School Board All required courses = 55% required & 10 + 2 English = 65% required. State Technical Education Board All required courses = 65% required, 10 + 2 English = 70% requied.
