Program Description
As a Construction Engineering Technology graduate you are skilled in architectural and structural design, estimating, building codes, surveying, and project management.
- Gain knowledge and practical experience in architectural and structural design, sustainable construction, estimating, cost control, surveying, and project management.
- Take part in a unique on-the-job training sponsored by an industry employer one day per week in your final term.
- Program meets all academic requirements for the membership in the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT), Ontario Institute of Quantity Surveyors (OIQS) and Ontario building officials association (OBOA).
Other Requirements
- Grade 12 with 50% and above. Math required. Recommended Courses : Construction Technology – Grade 12, Information and Communications Technology – Grade 11, Physics – Grade 11 or Grade 12, Technological Design – Grade 11 or Grade 12
- Niagara College does not accept students from Open schooling and Distance Education System. Education Gap:Student completed most recent studies within 5 years from start of the program (Example: if the program begins in 2018, applicants must have completed their last program of study no earlier than 2013 Student does not have more than 9 backlogs in university study. State Secondary School Board All required courses = 55% required & 10 + 2 English = 65% required. State Technical Education Board All required courses = 65% required, 10 + 2 English = 70% requied.
